Pangbourne is renowned for its extensive and diverse Activities programme.
The purpose of the Activities programme is to be able to provide something different once a week – whether sporting, co-curricular or academic – to break up the usual Pangbourne routine.
Forms 1, 2 and 3 have their Activities session on a Friday afternoon and it is known as a ‘Roundabout’ with students split into different groups and taking part in a different activity each week.
Forms 3 and 4 have their Activities session on Tuesday afternoons while Form 5 and the Sixth Form have their choice of activities on a Monday afternoon.
Among the activities available to pupils are: rowing, drama, riding, art, golf, French culture, Gifted and Talented Programme meetings, Film Club, a class looking at current affairs, fitness, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award section work, DT, maths, mountain biking, music, shooting, Young Enterprise and UCAS support.
