The Film Studies Department at Pangbourne aims to help students learn about image and the visual art of storytelling.
The subject is only available to the Sixth Form at A Level and helps students learn about philosophy, psychology, anthropology and sociology. It is a contemporary subject which explores the world we live in, helps students understand and appreciate the environment, and the challenges humans face.
Film Studies mixes creativity with challenging academic study and students can go on to study the subject at university, either on its own or combined with other courses, which could lead to future careers in the film industry, television, communications, advertising and marketing.
