Terms and Conditions for the Pangbourne College Classic Car Show 2022
All vehicles are displayed at the owner's risk. The event organiser and Pangbourne College shall be indemnified against any claim for any damage howsoever caused. All display vehicle owners or their club’s appointed officer must accept these Terms and Conditions at registration/entry to confirm they have read, understood, and will abide by the Terms and Conditions set out below:
1. INSURANCE, TAX AND MOT:
• All vehicles on display must be insured, taxed as appropriate, and hold an appropriate MOT certificate, unless arriving by tender vehicle.
• Insurance must cover the driver, all passengers and the use of the vehicle for the date of the event, in compliance with the Road Traffic Acts.
2. ALL VEHICLES ARE DISPLAYED AT THE OWNER'S RISK.
3. RULES REGARDING THE DISPLAY OF VEHICLES:
• If vehicles are left unattended the doors must be locked.
• Keys should never be left in the ignition.
• The handbrake must be on at all times.
• It is the vehicle owner's responsibility to ensure their vehicle is parked in such a way and that all necessary precautionary measures are in place so that the vehicle cannot roll forward or backward.
• Children viewing a display vehicle should be supervised by an adult at all times.
• Smoking is restricted on the College site and should not take place in any buildings or in the vicinity of any vehicle, especially engines and fuel tanks.
• Motorcycle owners must ensure their cycle's stand is secure and/or a suitable plate is used if necessary.
• Once a vehicle is parked in its display position the driver is politely encouraged not to move the vehicle until the end of the event or if instructed to do so by an event marshal.
4. SETTING UP:
• Display vehicles are required to arrive between 09:30 and 10:00 on the day of the event (the event is open to the public from 10:00).
• Drivers of display vehicles are requested to park as directed by an event marshal and must park according to their issued car pass. For safety reasons, display vehicles arriving after 10:00 may not be able to access the static display area.
• The campus speed limit is 20 MPH. Please adhere to a 5 MPH speed limit within the static display area.
