Scholarships & Exhibitions

Pangbourne College offers a limited number of scholarships and exhibitions to pupils who demonstrate exceptional academic ability or excellence in a major co-curricular specialism. The following information describes the entry criteria, scholarship programme benefits, and expectations.

Holding a scholarship or exhibition is recognition of excellence in your specialist area, your potential to participate actively in the life of the college, and your contribution as a positive role model and leader.

In common with other independent schools, the College does not provide automatic fee remissions for holders of scholarships or exhibitions. Instead, we are investing the funds which would otherwise be used to provide discounts to deliver a dedicated scholarships and exhibitions programme, which will enable you to reach your full potential in your specialist area.

Award holders can expect additional tuition, lectures, visits and opportunities, depending on the type and specialism of the award you hold. Your progress will be closely monitored and mentoring within your specialism will be available. There is also an annual Scholars’ Dinner which is a significant date in the College calendar.

For Academic Scholars, the scholarship programme operates via the High Potential Achievers programme. Sports Scholars automatically join the Sports Performance Programme (SPP).
