The Pangbourne College Campus Development Plan

The Pangbourne College Campus Development Plan sets out the College's educational and societal aims, as well the aim to develop excellent educational, co-curricular and boarding facilities. The College is now working on a "Campus Masterplan" for the ongoing development of the campus over the next 20 years.

In truth the process of transformation has been ongoing since the College was founded in 1917, and it is clear when walking around the Campus the incredible impact that so many people have made to the College through their foresight and generosity.

The generosity of our donors has been displayed time and time again in improving existing facilities and in enabling life changing new facilities. Some developments are small and important, others are large and inspirational, all help the College further its exceptional academic, co-curricular and pastoral provision. Recent campus projects have included:

  • Jubilee Astroturf Pitch (2021) (£300k): The pitch was redeveloped over the summer of 2021 with fencing and lighting improvements, and a new carpet.
  • Study Area (2019) (£1.2m): £200k for this project was donated by Cdr R G Covington as part of a Legacy bequest. Improvements include new IT equipment and classroom refurbishment.
  • Science Block (2018) (£150k): £100k for this project was donated by Cdr R G Covington as part of a Legacy bequest to improve the facilities.
  • Harding Communications Centre (2012) (£2m): Funds for this project were raised as a collective effort thanks to generous donations from the Pangbourne community, past and present.
