Head of English - Fixed Term Contract from January to August
Required for January 2026
We are looking to recruit an outstanding Head of English with the management skills to lead and develop this highly successful department. Last year, English contributed the largest number of Grade 9s at GCSE and achieved a value added of 1.36 in English Language (0.72 in Literature). You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and bring passion and enthusiasm to the role along with the ability to teach proactive and focused lessons at KS3, 4 and 5. Teaching English Literature up to A Level is essential. You will hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification along with the desire and dedication to ensure high standards of pupil progression and attainment.
As Head of Department you will have strong people and administration skills to provide strategic direction and development of English and literacy within the College, cultivating teaching and learning by ensuring high expectations of staff and pupils within a happy and purposeful environment. Operational Roles
Minibus Driver
Monday to Friday - 10 hours per week (Evenings)
Salary - £15.51 per hour
Term time only
Pangbourne College is looking to recruit a driver to transport our students to and from the College on a daily basis in our Minibus. Ideally based near to the College, you must have a clean driving licence. You will also be required to take a short mini bus driver test arranged by the College.
