We are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of English and Media to join our well established English Department.  This is an ideal opportunity for an ECT or a more experienced Teacher to teach English to GCSE.  If you are able to offer Media Studies BTEC in addition to English that would be very beneficial.  Opportunities to teach A Level English will also be available for the right candidate.

Music sits at the heart of the Pangbourne experience and we share the belief (Rogers, 2019) that a truly musical school holds three distinct, but interlinked, areas of music education in balance and we are looking for a Director of Music to translate this vision into reality for our students:

  1. To develop a knowledge-rich music curriculum and to raise the number of students studying Music at GCSE and A-Level.
  2. To ensure all students have access to instrumental and vocal tuition (in groups or one to one) and ensemble membership.

Minibus Driver

Graduate Sports Assistant/ Teaching Assistant

Fixed Term Contract until August 2025

We are looking to recruit a Graduate Sports Assistant/ Teaching Assistant to coach Hockey and Netball as main sports and be able to offer other sports ( Rugby, Football, Cricket and Tennis). We welcome applications from graduates with degrees in all subjects, not just sports related. This role would suit someone who is looking for experience of working in a school with the possible aim of entering the teaching profession. The opportunity to study for a PGCE may be available following successful completion of the first year.

The Sports Assistant role will be managed by the Director of Sport. Candidates will be expected to offer games coaching skills in Hockey, Netball,  Rugby, Football, Cricket and Tennis.

This is a fantastic opportunity that demands high levels of self-motivation, enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to actively encourage pupils to partake in a wide range of activities.  

Single (shared) accommodation can be provided. You will be expected to be involved in activities outside of timetabled lessons and sports sessions plus play a full part in the busy life of our boarding school, which will include two evenings per week and weekend duties. Terms are short, intense and holidays long so that batteries can be recharged.
