Our naval heritage, along with our ceremonial traditions, makes Pangbourne College a natural choice for service families.

Hear from one of our boarders whose mother is in the army:

We are proud to provide exemplary support to pupils whose parents are in the armed forces, understanding the intricacies and unique challenges of this way of life, and how it impacts on children.

Our safe, family environment creates a stable place for pupils in these circumstances to call home. Living in our close-knit community, they are able to find consistency in day-to-day life, forming close bonds with peers and staff.

We offer a variety of options including full-time boarding, weekly and part boarding for pupils who may only need to board for a few nights a week. We aim to provide a solution to fit every family’s needs.

Serving members of the Armed Forces who are entitled to CEA, are also able to apply for means tested bursarial support in line with the College's bursary policy.

Having served in the military, I am well aware of the value of discipline, esprit de corp and tradition. Pangbourne has maintained a Forces ethos and has thankfully kept traditions alive. Pangbourne is a truly independent school with a genuine family feel.

Mr Munro, Business Owner

Boarding at Pangbourne is made special by the sense of family we have here. The staff are always available to help with anything I need, especially my HoM Mr Thompson and my matron Gill.

John, whose father is in the Royal Navy

My favourite thing about boarding at Pangbourne is that I get to spend more time with my friends and I get to know more people in my division who aren’t in the same year as me. I enjoy the year group socials on Thursday nights and the fact that I can spend so much more time with my friends after and before the school day.
